Antonia’s Church, 2025

I started this after Mum died. It’s the church opposite my cottage. Mum loved Quenington, we had her funeral there. Her ashes are in the river and the wind. I always think of her when I see the church. I dreamt she hugged me outside the church, young and beautiful and told me everything was okay. I like the turquoise coming through the ground. The star shoots upward and could be Mum departing from her sleep in the churchyard.
