Two Magpies in a Tree, 2025
Magpies have become a bit of a thing for me. They started appearing in my paintings in a personal context. The single magpie was a symbol of my sadness at the death of my parents. It also symbolised my half brother, who my mother called The Magpie…I won’t go into the reasons. The two magpies was a move away from sadness to happiness and a slightly superstitious move on my part.
