Carmel Ben-Or (b. 1996) is a multidisciplinary artist who has been immersed in the arts since childhood. Raised in a creative environment, her mother a painter, her brother a musician, and surrounded by an artistic community of photographers, actors, dancers, and musicians, she developed a strong aesthetic sensibility early on. She majored in theatre and set design at the High School for Art in Jerusalem before continuing her training at the Jerusalem Studio School from 2018–2020, studying under Yedidya Hirshberg and Deborah Sebaoun. In 2018 she joined the school’s landscape painting program in Italy, working with Israel Hirshberg, Susannah Phillips and Kurt Knobelsdorf. Between 2017 and 2021 she also studied sculpture with Avner Levinson in Tel Aviv. A graduate of the Multidisciplinary Art Department at Shenkar College, Carmel has exhibited in both solo and group exhibitions, and her work is held in significant collections including the Tel Aviv Museum of Art and private collections worldwide.
